Desert Weyr Black Welsh Mountain Sheep Here are pictures and information on the top sheep in our flock as judged by Mr. Will Workman from Wales on 2 November 2004. . Double J Lionel 5025 Bred by Joanie Livermore this ram was sired by the UK ram Ravenstone Harry. He was born 1 May 2002 and is out of Nee-Hi Molly 4325. He was ranked number 1 of our rams and my notes say he had best horns, good type, excellent. He was faulted for white on his nose. Desert Weyr Olwen 4488 Bred by us this ewe is sired by our ram Desert Weyr Cynfab who was sired by the UK ram Hounsley Jack. She was born 29 May 2001 and is out of Bennett's Aerfen 4099. She had a loin eye scan of 7.96 square centimeters, by far the largest loin eye of any of our sheep at that time. She was ranked number 1 of our adult ewes and my notes say good size, needs more refined head. She was faulted for white on the nose.
