
One of our local farms, Zephyros Farm, hosted a farm dinner yesterday evening. About 125 people attended the event celebrating local foods. Each course was prepared by a local top chef, and the menu included the sources of all ingredients.
Ryan Hardy from Montangna (The Little Nell, Aspen) did the appetizer course. Eleni stelter (Eleni’s Uptown, Paonia), did the salad. Dava Parr (Fresh and Wyld, Paonia) did the side vegetables. Mark Fischer (689, Phat Thai, Carbondale) did the main course. Bob Isaacson (Smith Fork Ranch, Crawford) did the desserts. Local wines and distilled spirits were available as well.

We were thrilled to be able to provide all of the Black Welsh Mutton for the main course.
Now, it’s back to the end of summer grind. There’s always more farm work to do, but last night was a welcome break.
