OK, so posting on this blog has been low on my priority list, and it hasn’t been getting done lately. However, both the farm and the sheep are doing well, despite almost no online activity.
2020 lambing has finished successfully. We had 23 ewes bred and 43 live lambs. No stillborns and no triplets, which is great for us. We have continued to reduce our flock size and our workload.
Water and irrigation are OK for now, but it’s expected that we’ll be short of water later this summer.
Our online store is back in operation. There was a glitch when accessing the inventory online, but I believe it’s fixed now. We’re a Livestock Conservancy member and participant in the Shave ‘Em to Save ‘Em program, so we’ve reconfigured some of our yarn offerings. Now, a single skein will meet the minimum 4 ounces to qualify.
