
Today was the third annual Garvin Mesa Day. All three wineries on our mesa – Terror Creek Winery, Stone Cottage Cellars, and Azura Cellars – and our farm all coordinate to have an open house day. We’ve got lots of socks in stock. Our big order has arrived. We now have crew, knee-high, and terry socks for sale. These are 70% Black Welsh wool and 30% nylon. The porch is nearly finished. Bill got the last of the roof pieces on today. The only task left is to caulk the various pieces and clean everything up. Continue reading

Bill was back to finish the porch roof today. Here you can see him bending and cutting the metal to form various edges. Later this evening, we went to the neighbor’s house for dinner. One of the local turkey flocks came strolling by. A large group of chicks and several hens came, plus a tom. Continue reading

Our first buck of the season arrived today. It was a really nice two-by-three, still in velvet. He was skinny. I hope he fattens up before hunting season. Continue reading

The Celtic/Rock/Classical music group, Feast, performed a free concert in Paonia Town Park. We stopped by after a couple of beers at Revolution Brewing. Monica, Ken, Bart, Jeremy, and Celia were all there, as well as lots of other folks. Continue reading
