Well, we don’t have to worry about having a white Christmas this year! There’s so much snow that we probably couldn’t even get out if we wanted to. The solar panels are completely covered and not producing much energy. It hasn’t been a great year for them. Continue reading

Sofia is growing fast. She’s now going out with the ewes under supervision, and she’s been doing well. We’re really pleased with her so far. She has the best instincts at her age of any guardian dog we’ve had. Continue reading
We are once again doing research with the USDA National Animal Germplasm program. This year, we are collecting blood samples and other data on the ewes to evaluate their ovulation stats. Every year, we have to take the irrigation pipes apart before winter sets in. We drain them out so they don’t freeze and crack. This year, Ken caught a small trout that was in the pipes. He brought him down to the big pond and set him free there. We’ve rescued several trout this way.… Continue reading
