After the Wind and Snow

,

Well, the wind blew the snow, and then there was more snow. This is the hay barn. We rarely get winds that blow the snow this far inside. Even the back side lane, which should have been protected, got a lot of snow.

There's an impressive amount of snow underneath the hay barn, thanks to the wind.
Snow has even made its way to the hay bales.

Even the roof is well-covered. This is very unusual – the metal roof usually sheds snow easily.

Even the roof of the house is covered in snow.

All of the animals are fine. We’re a bit short on things like milk and fresh vegetables, but we have plenty of food in the pantry and freezers. Worst case, we have a full corral of dinner on the hoof. Ken’s going to try and plow the driveway again to see if we can get to town today or tomorrow.

Fortunately, our power is on, our internet is wireless, and our cell phones are also working.
